After an abusive childhood and troubled early adulthood, Lara moves to New York seeking a fresh start, leaving behind imaginary childhood friends and abandoned dreams of song and dance. Alcohol and social anxiety sabotage her personal and professional life until she finds hope in love. As she opens up, therapy fails and reality fractures, blurring sanity and romance. Lara falls deeply, but questions remain: can she live inside a dream forever?

Philip H J Gay was born in Gloucester, UK but grew up between England and France.
He studied Film and English Literature at University of North London before embarking on a career as a photographer.
In 2021 Philip directed his first music videos and began writing scripts for fiction.
In November 2024 Philip completed his first film as a director called ‘Heaven To Know You’ which he co-wrote with actress Kati Nescher.
