Director biography

- Domingo Pisón Capellán

A man with glasses and short dark hair stands against a beige wall, wearing a white hoodie with the "Stranger Things" logo and silhouettes of children on bikes. He holds an open notebook or script and looks to the side.

According to an article published by EL PAÍS (09/30/2022), director, screenwriter and producer Domingo Pisón is part of the small community of deaf filmmakers in Spain. His uniqueness is further highlighted when considering that he was the first deaf student to graduate in Audiovisual Communication from the Rey Juan Carlos University. He also made history by becoming the first deaf technician for Netflix, RTVE and Warner Bros, contributing to different productions from direction and production. His versatility is also evident as a speaker, addressing topics ranging from cinema and illusionism to disability, and he has even participated as a jury member in national and international film festivals, especially those that promote the inclusion of sign languages.
