• Our Father

In 1960s rural Ireland, a priest is called to the bedside of a parishioner, the wife of a prominent politician. She has just given birth. Whilst her husband has gone out to celebrate, she confides a secret in the priest and asks him for help.

Director biography

Sheila Moylette is an acclaimed Irish actress, best known for 'Can't Cope, Won't Cope' (RTÉ), 'Hardy Bucks' (RTÉ), feature film 'Black '47' and a series of MACE adverts alongside Irish Rugby icon Jonathan Sexton.

Sheila holds a BA (hons) in Performing Arts and a MA (hons) in Drama & Theatre Studies. She is a graduate of The Factory's Screen Acting Programme where she worked with renowned Irish directors Jim Sheridan, Kirsten Sheridan, Lance Daly and Shimmy Marcus. The Factory has since become Bow Street Film Academy, Ireland's national screen acting school, and Sheila has worked there as a tutor for the past ten years.

Sheila has just made her screenwriting and directing debut in 2025 with her short film 'Our Father'. Produced by Western Front Studios, it was commissioned under Screen Ireland’s 'Actor as Creator' initiative in partnership with Bow Street Film Academy.
