The documentary follows seven disabled artists from Atelier23 in Giessen and their daily work. Affiliated with Assisted Living Giessen, the studio offers a pressure-free, full-time space for artistic creation. Filmed over three years, the film traces each artist’s process from first stroke to exhibition, exploring their techniques, community life, personal struggles, and the art and people behind it.

- Olli Duerr
Born and raised in Germany, Olli Duerr developed an early interest in cinema that led to studies in film studies and fine arts. Since 2016, he has been working as a freelance film artist, focusing on artistic and experimental forms of filmmaking. Olli Duerr’s work has been presented at over 50 international film festivals and has received multiple international film awards.
